ACADEMIC AND BEHAVIORAL ASSESSMENTS 

Because of the impact that academic and behavioral skills have on transition goals, it is important to assess this area. Assessment information should be considered in developing all aspects of the transition plan.

Data collection should be on-going. Academic and behavior goals should be included if they are needed to help the student reach his/her measurable outcome transition goals. These assessments should include criterion-referenced testing, norm referenced testing and learning style assessments.
